The story goes like this, he was asked to fix a bad paint job done by someone else on his buddies 55 Chevy. To cover up the bad paint Larry created a "seaweeed" style of flowing flames covering the whole car. little did he know this style of flames would burn up tons of custom cars for the next 40 years!
