The 69 Charger 500 was a rare piece, it was also the shape of things to come. Just for Nascar Dodge developed a Charger with a flush mount grille as well as a flat rear window. This would be the start of the "Aero Wars" Aerodynamics were just beginning to play a part in racing success. Late in 1969 they would take the Charger 500 to the extreme level which became the Dodge Daytona complete with it's aero nosecone and two foot high spolier on the rear.
